Lithium

Intiomale Group is a leading producer and marketer of lithium ore, an essential component for rechargeable batteries and developing renewable energy technologies. We operate joint ventures in the Manono area in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which is estimated to be one of the largest lithium-rich LCT (lithium, caesium, tantalum) pegmatite deposits in the world.

Our Lithium Project is an open-pit mining development located approximately 500km north of Lubumbashi in the southern part of the DRC. The project area spans around 180km² and is within a lucrative mine deposit. The project is in the intra-cratonic domain of the southwest-northeast striking, mid-Proterozoic Kibaran Belt, extending 1,000km through Katanga and into southwest Uganda.

Our lithium is extracted and processed from the Manono, where we harness the abundant lithium reserves in the area. Lithium is primarily used in rechargeable batteries, which power devices such as cameras, mobile phones, and laptops. Its use in renewable energy technologies, such as electric vehicles and solar power storage, has increased the demand for lithium.

Our lithium is of high quality and conforms to strict environmental standards. We prioritise sustainable practices and utilise the latest technology to minimise environmental impact. We take great care to ensure that our mining and processing operations meet the highest safety standards, environmental responsibility, and social sustainability. As a result, customers seek after our lithium ore in the battery and renewable energy industries.

As a leading producer of lithium ore, we are committed to meeting the growing demand for this valuable resource while maintaining a strong focus on sustainable and responsible mining practices. Our products are of the highest quality, and we work closely with our customers to ensure they receive the materials they need to meet their production goals.
